Course description

This course is structured for the participants (including pilots, air traffic controllers, drone operators, and airport operators) to have a deep understading of how to strengthen their psychological capital. In terms of the reskilling and upskilling process, participants able to gain "self-management and continuous development" competence identified as non-technical/behavioral skills needed.

No prerequisite knowledge is required

Objectives

At the end of the training module, the participant will be able to:

  • Understand the concept of positive organizational behaviour and psychological capital (PsyCap)
  • Understand the dimensions (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, optimism) of psychological capital
  • Aware of the sense of seeing a better future and the confidence in the abilities for achieving positive outcomes
  • Aware of the positive and negative antecedents of PsyCap
  • Aware of the positive ways of coping with negative situations and learn how to remain positive
  • Learn how to develop his/her psychological capital at work life
  • Evaluate his/her self-assessment of psychological capital
  • Learn the effects of PsyCap
Program

This course will cover the following themes:

  • Positive organizational behavior
  • Psychological capital (PsyCap)
  • Leadership at PsyCap
  • Positive antecedents of PsyCap (I-II)
  • Negative antecedents of PsyCap (I-II)
  • Self-assessment of PsyCap
  • Effcets of PsyCap 

This course will be delivered in an asynchronous (with video lessons) and synchronous (with discussions) manner and will contain various exercises to assess participant learning throughout the course.

Exercises

The purpose of theoretical explanations in this course is to explain the concept of psychological capital (PsyCap), its dimensions (hope, self-efficacy, resilience, optimism), its positive and negative antecedents
